Illinois Science + Technology Park, Skokie IL
Master Plan and Design Standards
Phase 1 Implementation & Landscape Infrastructure
.

.
Illinois Science + Technology Park is a 23-acre research campus outside Chicago. The Design Guidelines establish a pedestrian-friendly environment based on traditional streets and city parks
The Phase I landscape improvements included construction of new streets, sidewalks, the campus’s central park, and a six-acre temporary landscape on the sites of future buildings. The central park uses regional materials to enliven a landscape designed to accommodate casual use as well as lunchtime performances. In the temporary landscape, demolition spoils form rolling hills that are planted with low-maintenance turf and trees.
