The Urban Arboretum is the longest unbroken landscape on Boston’s Rose Kennedy Greenway. Created as a low-cost interim landscape between two highway ramps, it has become a varied and inviting urban passageway. Boston Globe architecture critic Robert Campbell has called the plaza at its north end ”a memorable place … a lovely circle of budding trees.”

In 2011 Wolf Landscape Architecture returned to the Urban Arboretum with new plantings that have expanded its plant collection and made it more engaging and distinctive.
